The Rochester Flower City Half Marathon and Mayor's Family 5K will be on the city streets, through its historic neighborhoods and areas. Please note, the maps are not certified yet, but once certified maps are ready, we will post.
Note: The finish line closes at 11AM. After 9:30AM the course becomes unsupported starting at the entrance of Mt. Hope Cemetery. After 10AM the course becomes unsupported exitting Mt. Hope Cemetery onto Elmwood. Athletes can continue on sidewalks knowing that Police Personnel and Volunteers will no longer be on course.
Pace Chart - to meet the course time cutoff, the max minute/mile pace is 16:09
Water/Electrolyte Stops: Approximately every 2 miles there will be a water and Wegmans MVP Sports Drink Station. Visit your local Wegmans to try out the various flavors of MVP Sports Drink.
PowerBar PowerGel Station: Approximately halfway through the course there will be one PowerBar PowerGel Stop - chocolate, vanilla, tangerine and strawberry banana. It is recommended to learn to train with all flavors, just in case your fave isn't at the station when you get there. You can purchase PowerBar PowerGel for your practice runs at Fleet Feet Sports.
Water Stop: There will be one water stop on the 5K course at approximately the 2 mile mark along with Wegmans MVP Sports Drink. Visit your local Wegmans to try out the various flavors of MVP Sports Drink.
The River Challenge Duathlon/Paddle Triathlon will be based at the Genesee Valley Waterways/Ice Arena, with the 5K run within Genesee Valley Park/the 20 Mile bike is on the road and the 3 Mile paddle is in the Genesee River. The bike course is OPEN to traffic, please heed caution the entire time. In addition, there are two train track crossings, please slow down and heed caution at those intersections.

Water Stops: There will be 2 water stops on the run course, plus one water stop as you enter and exit the transition area from the run.
